Assimina Di Lollo

What is your birth philosophy?

I believe my role as a Midwife is to use all of my learnt skills and intuitive knowledge to help support women throughout their journey of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. I believe it is important for women to enter their birth with confidence, trust and knowledge of their own abilities to birth and transition to parenthood.

What is the most rewarding part of being a midwife?

Birthing is one of the most important, meaningful and personal times in a woman and her family’s life. It is a privilege to be able to be a part of that special time and to be considered a trusted caregiver and advocate. The most rewarding part of being a Midwife is being able to help a woman and her family to achieve the best start in life for their family.

What attracted you to be part of Western Obstetrics?

Working with Western Obstetrics as an Endorsed Midwife allows me the opportunity and time to provide women-centred care in a dedicated and professional team. Being a part of a continuity of care model as a primary care giver allows me to get to know each client and understand their individual needs in a relaxed and friendly environment.
