Ready to Birth with Holly Tincey - AVAILABLE FROM JANUARY 2026

A practical and empowering antenatal class for couples preparing for birth.

Ready to Birth is a 3-hour interactive course designed to help you and your partner feel informed, calm, and confident as you approach labour and birth.

Holly is an Endorsed Midwife and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), passionate about educating couples. This session focuses on understanding how your body works in labour and how to best support it - physically, emotionally, and mentally.

COURSE OUTLINE

You’ll learn about:

How your body and hormones work together during labour
The stages of labour and what to expect at each point
How to recognise when it’s time to go to hospital
Effective positions and movement for comfort and progress
The role of your support person and how they can help
Understanding pain and your pain relief options
What happens when plans change - making informed decisions about interventions
The moments after birth - what to expect for you and your baby

This class blends evidence-based education with practical, real-world advice, helping couples feel empowered, connected, and truly birth ready.

Labour & Birth Basics Antenatal Education - ONLY AVAILABLE UNTIL JANUARY 2026

More than just childbirth education, this course will discuss preparation of body and mind for labour, birth and beyond for an empowered and informed experience. Understand how your body works to birth your baby, and options and choices you can make for your labour and birth. Come along with your birth partner and both learn techniques and tips for a supportive labour, birth and parenting journey.

This class will run over two sessions, over two consecutive weeks in the evening.

Live Breastfeeding Workshop

CLASS OVERVIEW

Breastfeeding is often a very rewarding and enjoyable experience, but it can take some time for both mum and baby to learn and grow in confidence. It is useful to learn as much as you can about normal newborn baby feeding behaviours, milk production and trouble-shooting before the birth of your baby.

Our breastfeeding workshops aim to set you up for success right from the day of birth. We explain and give opportunities to practice (using a doll) to hold your newborn baby in a way that makes breastfeeding easier. We provide critical information and tips so you can

build a healthy milk supply,
read your baby’s feeding signals
have confidence in offering baby his/her first breastfeed, and
achieve a comfortable breastfeeding relationship.

Designed to arm parents with knowledge and practical tips, we share the science of ‘how breastfeeding works’ so you are prepared for a great start. It’s an interactive session with practical information and plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

We encourage support people to attend the workshops with their partners so they can be prepared to provide practical help and encouragement in those early days and weeks.

We recommend that you attend the breastfeeding workshop with your support person before 34 weeks of pregnancy. This will give you time to use the workshop information to build a plan for the early weeks of parenting and breastfeeding.

If you have had a previous breast surgery, have a medical condition that can interfere with breastfeeding (such as PCOS, diabetes, gestational diabetes), or have had a difficult previous breastfeeding experience, we recommend that you book a 1:1 appointment where one of our lactation team will work with you to better understand your situation, and make an individualised plan that will help you to successfully breastfeed.
