Originally from the Philippines, Dr Raquel Diego brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Western Obstetrics team. With a post-graduate medical degree and specialised training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, she began her journey in Perth in 2008. 

Raquel's commitment to excellence is evident in her extensive medical journey. After earning her Australian Medical Registration, she served as a junior doctor at Royal Perth Hospital. Subsequently, she gained invaluable experience as a Resident Medical Officer in various Perth hospitals. Raquel achieved her Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at King Edward Memorial Hospital, followed by her General Practice fellowship with WAGPET Rural Pathway.

Raquel's dedication extends beyond hospital walls. She has worked in GP clinics and local hospitals in Narrogin, Collie, Manjimup, and Rockingham, ensuring the delivery of quality care to the community she serves.

Outside of work, Raquel finds joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoys spending her free time with her beloved labradoodle, taking daily walks in the park, and relishing sunny days at the beach.
