Endorsed Midwife – Part Time (approx. 20hrs week – flexible)

We are currently seeking a skilled Clinic Administrator to join our team and play a vital role in our day-to-day operations.

THE ROLE

As an Endorsed Midwife at Western Obstetrics, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient care. From managing clinical consultations and supporting minor procedures to assisting with patient enquiries and ensuring our clinic runs safely and efficiently, your work will directly impact our community’s health and well-being.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide high-quality clinical care in collaboration with our team of doctors and midwives.
  • Ensure patient satisfaction by managing enquiries, appointments, and patient flow.
  • Support clinic operations, including maintaining clinic equipment, overseeing infection control, and managing stock.
  • Contribute to a safe workplace by adhering to Occupational Safety and Health standards.
  • Assist with training new staff and promoting a positive, supportive team environment

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Midwife and/or Registered Nurse.
  • At least two years of clinical experience is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and a commitment to patient care.
  • Proficiency in venepuncture, specimen collection, and CTG.
  • Great communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach to challenges.

CASUAL – Flexible Hours - Clinic Administration/Receptionist

We are currently seeking a skilled Clinic Administrator to join our team and play a vital role in our day-to-day operations.

THE ROLE

As a Clinic Administrator, you will be the face of our clinic, responsible for providing efficient and professional administration and receptionist duties. You will ensure that our clinic runs smoothly and that all patients, employees, managers, and contractors receive a high level of respect, communication, and service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

People Management:

  • Support and motivate team members to maximise productivity and professional growth.
  • Assist with training new staff and contribute to the teamwork of the clinic.
  • Ensure Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) obligations are followed to maintain a safe workplace.

Customer Service:

  • Attend to patients and clients in a prompt and professional manner, managing phone and email enquiries efficiently.
  • Handle patient complaints and enquiries, ensuring they are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and manage patient wait times, alerting relevant staff to situations requiring urgent medical attention.

Operational Duties:

  • Manage phone and email communications, appointments, and patient records.
  • Maintain clinic equipment and common areas, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked.
  • Complete daily filing, manage clinical forms, and oversee timesheets and financial duties, including clinic banking and invoicing.

Skills and Experience Required:

MUST HAVE:

**Minimum one year of reception experience, in a medical setting – work history evidence

  • Can work flexible hours and days
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a dedication to best practices.

PREFERRED

  • Proficient in computer applications such as Word, Outlook, and internet usage; experience with Genie or equivalent medical billing software is highly regarded.
  • Medicare Billing
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.

General Practitioner Obstetrician

Various Locations: Balcatta | Rockingham

Western Obstetrics are seeking suitably qualified General Practitioner Obstetricians to join our expanding team of highly motivated, collegial team of GPO’s and Midwives.

Our Vision is to provide exceptional maternity care and continuous support to all patients, both during and after the birth of the baby, via excellence in continuity of care from trusted healthcare professionals.

The Role

  • Provide high quality outpatient clinical services to Public patients in a private clinic environment.
  • Availability to work on a 12/24-hour roster to cover on-call
  • Available to work 1 in 4/6 weekends on-call
  • This position is Fee for Service

About You

  • Eligibility for specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
  • Fellowship of the Australian College of General Practitioners (RANZCOG)
  • Eligibility to hold a valid Provider Number in order to claim Medicare Benefits
  • Proven clinical experience, which demonstrates the ability to exercise sound clinical ability and judgment
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact appropriately, ethically and responsibly with patients from varied ethnic backgrounds, their families and all members of the health care team
